Italian Artisan & Food Village – Bergerac
Bergerac welcomes its Italian Artisan Village for nine days in the heart of the town. Browse stalls showcasing Italian food specialities, regional produce and artisan crafts, with plenty to taste and discover.
The event celebrates Bergerac’s links with its Italian twin town of Faenza and is organised by the Bergerac–Faenza Twinning Committee and the Villart association.
Planning your stay around local events
There is always something happening around Le Petit Capelier. Issigeac’s famous Sunday market takes over the medieval village every week, while Bergerac, Eymet, Villeréal and Castillonnès host regular markets, brocantes, concerts, exhibitions and festivals throughout the year.
During the summer, look out for marchés gourmands and village fêtes, where long communal tables, local food, Bergerac wines and live music make for wonderfully relaxed evenings. The vineyards around Monbazillac and Bergerac also host tastings, concerts and special events throughout the season.
