An extraordinary exhibition of traditional Chinese Nuo theatre masks from the collection of Paul-Louis Couailhac — described as the largest private exhibition of Nuo masks yet presented in south-west France.
Planning your stay around local events
There is always something happening around Le Petit Capelier. Issigeac’s famous Sunday market takes over the medieval village every week, while Bergerac, Eymet, Villeréal and Castillonnès host regular markets, brocantes, concerts, exhibitions and festivals throughout the year.
During the summer, look out for marchés gourmands and village fêtes, where long communal tables, local food, Bergerac wines and live music make for wonderfully relaxed evenings. The vineyards around Monbazillac and Bergerac also host tastings, concerts and special events throughout the season.
