SUMMARY:Lou Stonebridge (McGuinness Flint) Live in Saint-Avit-Sénieur
DESCRIPTION:Music: Blues · Country · Rock \nInformation: +33 5 53 58 72 34 \nA little piece of British 1970s music history comes to the Dordogne this September when Lou Stonebridge performs at La Bougeotte in Saint-Avit-Sénieur. \nStonebridge was a vocalist and keyboard player in the later incarnation of McGuinness Flint\, the British folk\, blues and country-rock group whose musical family tree stretches through Manfred Mann\, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers\, Gallagher & Lyle and later The Blues Band. \nMcGuinness Flint had enjoyed major British success at the beginning of the 1970s with “When I’m Dead and Gone”and “Malt and Barley Blues”. Stonebridge joined after the departure of the original songwriting partnership Benny Gallagher and Graham Lyle\, playing keyboards and singing on the band’s later albums Rainbow and C’est la Vie. \nFollowing the break-up of McGuinness Flint\, Stonebridge reunited musically with Tom McGuinness as Stonebridge McGuinness. Their 1979 single “Oo-Eeh Baby” reached the UK chart and earned the pair an appearance on Top of the Pops. \nAn intimate Dordogne concert\nThis isn’t an arena revival show. That’s precisely the attraction. \nStonebridge brings his blues\, country and rock repertoire to La Bougeotte\, in the beautiful historic village of Saint-Avit-Sénieur. The organisers describe the atmosphere as warm and authentic — an appealing opportunity to hear a veteran British musician in a very different setting from the clubs and concert halls associated with his earlier career \nSaint-Avit-Sénieur itself makes the evening worth the journey. Arrive early enough to explore the old village and its extraordinary abbey church before settling in for the concert. \nFor guests staying at Le Petit Capelier\, this is exactly the sort of event that makes September in the Dordogne special: a historic village\, an intimate venue and a musician with roots stretching back into Britain’s 1970s blues and folk-rock scene.

SUMMARY:L’Écume des Sons — Five Voices in the Chapelle de Parisot\, Villeréal
DESCRIPTION:L’Écume des Sons — Five Voices in the Chapelle de Parisot\, Villeréal\nFriday 18 September 2026 · 20:30\nChapelle Saint-Clair de Parisot\, Parisot\, 47210 Villeréal\nAdults: €10\nChildren under 12: €5\nBooking: +33 6 84 34 09 87 · ferme.de.grangeneuve@gmail.com\nOrganiser: Association Les Amis de la Chapelle de Parisot\nA complimentary verre de l’amitié follows the concert. \nThe date\, 20:30 start\, venue\, prices and booking details are now all confirmed by both Villeréal’s municipal agenda and the official Lot-et-Garonne tourism listing. Mairie Villereal \nFive voices in a tiny Dordogne chapel\nFor anyone who enjoys discovering music away from the conventional concert hall\, this could be one of the loveliest cultural evenings of September. \nL’Écume des Sons comes to the little Chapelle Saint-Clair de Parisot\, near Villeréal\, for an intimate concert built around five interwoven voices. \nThe performance explores the way individual vocal colours meet\, cross and complement one another\, with the natural acoustics of the chapel becoming part of the experience. The programme is classified locally under vocal/choral and classical music\, although the organisers’ emphasis is very much on the interaction of the five voices rather than a conventional large choir. \nThe setting is an important part of the evening. Rather than a large theatre\, the audience hears the singers in the historic Chapelle de Parisot\, creating the sort of close relationship between performer\, architecture and audience that is particularly suited to unaccompanied or closely arranged vocal music. \nAfterwards\, the organisers invite the audience to stay for a complimentary verre de l’amitié — quite literally a friendly glass together after the performance. \nMake an evening of Villeréal\nFor guests at Le Petit Capelier\, we’d suggest making this more than simply a trip to a concert. \nHead towards Villeréal during the late afternoon\, wander around the medieval bastide and its remarkable timber-framed market hall\, have an early dinner\, then continue to Parisot for the 20:30 concert. \nIt’s exactly the sort of small-scale local experience that’s easy to miss when visiting the Dordogne in high summer: five voices\, an old chapel\, a September evening in the countryside and a glass together afterwards. \nAdvance booking isn’t stated as compulsory\, but Villeréal’s mairie recommends reserving to help the organisers manage the audience\, so I would advise LPC guests to book. \nOfficial Villeréal event listing

SUMMARY:Les 24h de la biodiversité
DESCRIPTION:It all starts with water.\nThe water we take for granted\, yet which reminds us every year of its vulnerability. \nThese 24 Hours of Biodiversity were born from a simple conviction: art and culture cannot be separated from life. Seeing the world differently also means learning to look at our rivers\, our birds\, our soil—the things that surround us every day and that we eventually stop noticing. \nThis unique event offers a collective experience throughout Eymet and the surrounding villages. Walks along the riverbanks\, outdoor performances\, screenings\, exhibitions\, participatory workshops\, gatherings\, family-friendly activities… For 24 hours\, water becomes the common thread of a collective exploration. \nFor all ages\nProgram to be announced \nTiming note: The organiser supplied a start time but no finishing time. Please confirm the end time directly with the venue.

DESCRIPTION:Through song\, dance\, and music\, “Des espoirs plein le corps” tells the story of a woman’s journey\, from birth to emancipation. On stage\, Leonor Harispe’s powerful voice\, the music of Cuarteto Tafi\, Fanny Do’s piano\, and Justine Marmouyet’s dance weave a sensitive journey\, oscillating between rebellion and tenderness. Latin American\, Mediterranean\, and modern influences blend with the body’s movements to express freedom\, desire\, struggles\, and hopes. Finally\, the lyrics\, projected like living images\, become an extension of the movement.\nA vibrant and socially conscious performance\, where music and dance unite to give voice to what the bodies have to say. \nDuration: 1 hour 15 minutes\nSuitable for all ages\nPresented by Cuarteto Tafi \nTiming note: The organiser supplied a start time but no finishing time.
