Les nocturnes au Bournat
Every summer for over 10 years, the park has extended the magic by opening its doors in the evening. As the sun descends over the Périgord, the village takes on a whole new look: the centuries-old merry-go-rounds light up, craftsmen carry on their work by the light of the fire, and music livens up the narrow streets.
Everything you need for a complete evening in one place: strolling, marvelling, dining, dancing, laughing and sharing.
Ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds, swings, flying chairs? all the rides are waiting for you under the stars. In the village, the large tables welcome a Périgord dinner with music, to the festive accompaniment of Trio Guinguette and La Banda. Meals at Paul?s on reservation.
At 10:30 pm, the night reaches its climax with a fireworks display that lights up the sky above the illuminated mill.
A warm, timeless evening to enjoy with family and friends.

Planning your stay around local events
There is always something happening around Le Petit Capelier. Issigeac’s famous Sunday market takes over the medieval village every week, while Bergerac, Eymet, Villeréal and Castillonnès host regular markets, brocantes, concerts, exhibitions and festivals throughout the year.
During the summer, look out for marchés gourmands and village fêtes, where long communal tables, local food, Bergerac wines and live music make for wonderfully relaxed evenings. The vineyards around Monbazillac and Bergerac also host tastings, concerts and special events throughout the season.
We update this calendar regularly as new events are announced, including some of the smaller local happenings that can be surprisingly difficult to discover online.
