Marché Gourmand, Issigeac
DESCRIPTION
The final Issigeac Marché Gourmand of the summer. Choose dinner from local producers, find a place at the communal tables and enjoy a warm late-summer evening in the heart of medieval Issigeac.
Food and drinks are purchased from the individual producers and stalls.
Planning your stay around local events
There is always something happening around Le Petit Capelier. Issigeac’s famous Sunday market takes over the medieval village every week, while Bergerac, Eymet, Villeréal and Castillonnès host regular markets, brocantes, concerts, exhibitions and festivals throughout the year.
During the summer, look out for marchés gourmands and village fêtes, where long communal tables, local food, Bergerac wines and live music make for wonderfully relaxed evenings. The vineyards around Monbazillac and Bergerac also host tastings, concerts and special events throughout the season.
