Summer 2027 brings welcome news for visitors planning a holiday in the Dordogne. Jet2 has expanded its flights to Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport, making it easier to reach this beautiful corner of south-west France from several UK airports — and to enjoy a relaxed stay near Issigeac at Le Petit Capelier.

Which UK airports will have Jet2 flights to Bergerac in 2027?

Jet2 has announced weekly Saturday flights to Bergerac from Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds Bradford for summer 2027. Bristol, Birmingham and Manchester are additions to its existing Leeds Bradford programme. Across these routes, the airline says 27,000 seats are on sale — more than five times its summer 2026 capacity.

For Bristol specifically, Jet2 confirms services from 22 May to 25 September 2027. Other departure dates and fares should be checked directly with the airline before making plans. See Jet2’s official announcement and Jet2 flight information.

Why fly into Bergerac for a holiday near Issigeac?

Bergerac is a particularly convenient gateway to the southern Dordogne, with vineyards, countryside and the region’s distinctive bastide towns within easy reach. From the airport, Le Petit Capelier near Issigeac is a straightforward countryside drive. We recommend arranging a hire car in advance: it gives you the freedom to visit markets, villages, vineyards and riverside towns at your own pace.

For a smoother arrival, check your flight landing time against car-hire desk opening hours, allow time for baggage collection and keep your accommodation directions handy. If you are arriving late, consider arranging groceries before you travel rather than relying on shops being open.

A Dordogne week from your own holiday home

Le Petit Capelier is a peaceful holiday home for up to six guests, with a generous 12 × 5 metre private swimming pool, space to unwind and an outdoor kitchen for slow summer evenings. It makes a comfortable base for families or friends who want to explore the region without changing accommodation every few days.

You can spend one morning browsing our favourite markets around Issigeac and Bergerac, another discovering five beautiful bastide villages, and an afternoon tasting the wines of Monbazillac and Bergerac. Or simply enjoy a day beside the pool — that is part of the appeal of staying here.

Planning your summer 2027 visit

Saturday flights may work especially well for a traditional week-long holiday, but check flight schedules against your preferred arrival and departure dates before booking. Air schedules, prices and availability can change.
