Issigeac Sunday Market
One of the Dordogne’s great Sunday markets. The medieval streets of Issigeac fill with stalls selling local fruit and vegetables, cheeses, charcuterie, bread, wine, flowers, crafts and much more.
Go early, wander through the village and stop for coffee before choosing something delicious to take home for lunch.

Planning your stay around local events
There is always something happening around Le Petit Capelier. Issigeac’s famous Sunday market takes over the medieval village every week, while Bergerac, Eymet, Villeréal and Castillonnès host regular markets, brocantes, concerts, exhibitions and festivals throughout the year.
During the summer, look out for marchés gourmands and village fêtes, where long communal tables, local food, Bergerac wines and live music make for wonderfully relaxed evenings. The vineyards around Monbazillac and Bergerac also host tastings, concerts and special events throughout the season.
